Why is OneDrive not showing the latest version of a file after editing on multiple devices?

Here is a list of steps to ensure the most up-to-date version of a file is correctly displayed in OneDrive:

  1. Save changes made throughout all devices where the file has been edited.
  2. Login to OneDrive and view the Recent folder to ensure the latest version is shown.
  3. Check to see if another user has just saved a more recent version of the file to the same location.
  4. If the more recent version is still not displayed, click the refresh button.
  5. If the more recent version still does not display, check to see if the file is in sync.
