Why is my Microsoft Classroom not updating my gradebook with late submissions?

Log into your Microsoft Classroom account.
Navigate to the assignment in question.
Verify that the due date for the assignment has passed.
Check to see if any late submissions have been made.
If any late submissions have been recorded, submit a request to the class instructor asking them to update the gradebook with late submissions.
