- Check if the file type is supported by the program.
 - Check if the template already exists in the same folder.
 - Look for an existing template in the File >> New with the exact same formatting.
 - Clear any blocks in the formatting or margins that are hurting the formatting.
 - Save the file as a PDF, JPG, or other file format, if possible.
 - Re-check the permissions on the file if the save failed.
 - Check for any background errors or viruses that may be disrupting the save.
 - Make sure you are saving the document as a template (.ttx) or master document (.mdt), if applicable.
