- Check equipment and audio settings 
Ensure that all audio recording equipment is plugged in, turned on, and working correctly. Also, open audio settings and ensure all sound levels are at their maximum. - Restart OneNote 
Close OneNote and restart it to clear the application of any audio-related issues. - Reinstall audio drivers 
Uninstall audio driver components and then reinstall them to ensure that all components work properly. - Refresh or reset OneNote 
Refresh OneNote to reinstall the application and the latest version. Alternatively, reset OneNote and reinstall the audio driver components to rule out and resolve any audio-related issues.
