How do I add a user to an Active Directory group?

  1. Log in to the domain controller using administrative credentials.
  2. Open the Active Directory Users and Computers tool.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose the group to which you want to add the user.
  4. Right-click the group and select Properties.
  5. In the group’s properties window, select the Members tab.
  6. Click the Add button.
  7. Select the users you’d like to add, then OK.
  8. Click the Apply button to confirm your changes, then OK to close the window.
