Why is my Smart TV not displaying any apps or widgets on the home screen?

1. Check if the network connection is working.
2. Restart your TV.
3. Check if the firmware is up-to-date (most smart TVs have an update now setting).
4. Try and reset the TV to its factory settings.
5. Check to make sure no parental control settings or child lock settings are preventing the downloading of apps and widgets.
