- Check if the printer is powered on  
- Make sure the power cable is connected to the power source
 - Check the power switch to ensure it is in the ‘on’ position
 
 - Clear any jammed papers or obstructions in the paper path  
- Check printer for any pieces of paper or obstruction in the paper path
 - Remove any pieces of paper found in all available access points
 
 - Restart the printer  
- Turn the power switch off and wait a few seconds
 - Turn the power switch back on
 
 - Check all wires for correct connection  
- Ensure the printer is connected to your computer
 - Check any type of connectivity such as USB and Ethernet cables for secure connections
 
 - Check for any printer software updates  
- Go onto the printer’s manufacturer website to download any available updates
 - Run the update once downloaded and follow any onscreen instructions
