Why is my internet speed slower than what I’m paying for?

1. Check the network icon in the taskbar to see how many bars are showing. A connection with fewer bars yields a slower connection.
2. Close any unused programs or windows to free up the bandwidth.
3. Upgrade your Internet plan if you’re using a basic tier with less speed than what was promised.
4. Restart your modem.
5. Check the cables connected to the modem to ensure they are securely plugged in.
