Why is my Excel sheet not showing the correct result when I use the COUNT function?

1. Check that the range of cells you are counting contain numbers and not words or symbols.
2. Double check any formulas that you have entered.
3. Make sure that you are excluding any blank or filtered cells from the count by using the COUNTIF formula.
4. Look for any merged cells that you may have within the range of cells you are counting.
